The International Workshop “Arabs and Arabia in Byzantine literary sources: People, places, mentalities” was organized in the frame of the joint project carried out by the IHR/NHRF and the King Abdul Aziz Foundation under the title: “Arabs in Byzantine Literary Sources (7th-12th c.)”. The Workshop presentations discuss particular topics allowing for the best outcome of the project and aiming to the exchange of views on Byzantine-Arab relations in various fields including: administration, diplomacy, foreign relations, commerce and traders, intellectual exchange, science, conflict and warfare. The Workshop will follow a hybrid format in accordance with the instructions for protection from the Covid-19. Some presentations will occur in-person with a small audience in the NHRF Amphitheatre and will be streamed via Zoom, while others will be made digitally.
